* Upon first use, trim the wick to 1/4 inch (cotton wicks) or 1/8 inch (wood wicks) and allow the candle to burn until the entire surface is melted (maximum 4 hours). Trim the wick again before each subsequent use. It is very important to recenter the wick after using the candle (while the wax is still melted) to prevent the glass from cracking.
