My favorite foodie spots in Magog (tried and tested)
I've always been a big fan of playing tourist. I can spend hours on blogs, Instagram and Google discovering local favorites and must-see attractions in the cities I'm about to visit.
When I arrived in Magog in 2021, I did exactly the same thing: search for the best spots to eat well, build a community and do my daily shopping.
So I thought: why not share with you these addresses which, even after several years, are still part of my routine and which have truly won my heart?
Let's start with my must-try foodie spots in and around Magog 🤍
☕ Café Géogène — Third wave café
Literally my second home… and our dear neighbors.
Café Géogène in Magog opened the same week as the Shoosh store, so I simply cannot imagine my experience here without my morning coffee — and this has been the case for over 3 years now.
The atmosphere is relaxed, inclusive and perfect for remote work.
It's a true safe space for my heart, and honestly, the best cafes in town .
My morning order: Oat milk latte (not too hot)

🌱 Om Plante — Vegan Restaurant
At Om Plante, we always welcome you with hearts full of joy.
A vegan restaurant inspired by a touch of Brazilian magic: warm, vibrant and full of love.
The food is simply delicious — vegan or not, it's an absolute MUST .
My favorite dish: Mexitacommm tapioca crepe
📍 Om Plante – Magog

🍕 Deux Tomates — Chefs and Wine Merchants
From appetizers to desserts, including pizzas, everything is carefully prepared on site .
It's the perfect option to pick up a good pizza and a bottle of natural wine, then go and enjoy it all in the park.
They favour fresh, seasonal and mostly Quebec-grown products — we love it.
My favorite pizza: La Funghi
📍 Two Tomatoes – Magog

🥪 Mifigue — Restaurant-café in Orford
A new addition to Orford since the fall, and we are sincerely delighted!
The sandwiches are delicious and their terrace is absolutely gorgeous , especially after a hike up Mount Orford.
The owner and the whole team are always super welcoming.
They also regularly host pop-ups for dinner — it's definitely worth checking ahead to plan your visit.
My favorite sandwich: Grilled Halloumi
(And what about the scones…!!!)
📍 Mifigue – Orford

🍝 Alessa Trattoria — Italian Cuisine
At Alessa's, you'll find dishes to share, perfectly crispy Neapolitan pizzas, tasty pasta, and generous starters.
It's the perfect place for dinner with friends or a relaxing get-together over a good bottle of Italian wine.
The menu is simple, well thought out, and the prices are very affordable. Also perfect for takeout to enjoy by the water.
My order: Linguini a la Gigi + rucola salad
📍 Alessa Trattoria – Magog

🥩 Marilau Farm — 100% Local Butcher Shop
Located in Orford, Ferme Marilau is a true family business as we like them: passionate, committed and deeply rooted in its community.
Their meat is produced locally with a focus on quality and animal welfare, then sold directly to the butcher shop.
No middlemen, just good products made with heart .
The perfect place to refuel before an afternoon BBQ with family or friends.
