Book - Lamentable

I'm warning you, nothing's happening in my life. No love, no drugs, no murder. I'm the most repressed guy of all, the one who sways without making waves. But this is 2006. A big year for Justin Timberlake and Fergie. If all goes as planned, it'll be my year too. I'm leaving the Gaspé headlands for the glittering lights of Grande Allée. And maybe the city will help me shed all these layers of fat and blankets and secrets that envelop and soften me. Maybe I'll even become an enviable son-in-law with a car.
